I have so many wonderful memories of holidays and visits to in the Birches various pubs in my life and Tony was a constant in all of them. He always made me feel so welcome and treated us to pop and crisps most evenings, which was a huge bonus as a kid! It felt like home and I will treasure those times forever. Tony’s passing is a huge loss for all, not least Janet, David, Paula and Danny, who I send lots of love to. RIP Tony.

Where do I start ? So many memories of a 30 year friendship.
From trips away … walking around Wageningen for hours in search of chips and nasi balls ! ( I’m sure janet remembers this ! ) To boozy ladies nights , day trips to Calais , Tony teaching my parrot to say ‘more wine Carolyn’ whenever they looked after him and teaching Michael to play pool by standing him on a beer crate so he could reach the table , meals out or just sat chatting in the pub . Always a laugh to be had .
Thanks for the memories Tony ,
You will be sadly missed xx
